# Literature Workflow

Help the user understand sources and preserve what matters to their research. Adapt to their question and workspace preferences; no fixed reading sequence or output template is required.

## Scope

- Cover paper lookup, reading, source management, notes, and scoped literature reviews. External work connectors are optional extensions, configured on demand.
- The host agent handles reasoning, writing, environment setup, and other tools. This skill supplies source continuity and repeatable file operations. It does not run a PDF viewer, background watcher, autonomous research service, or chat bot.
- Use the user's paper folder as the workspace, not the installed skill directory. Read its existing `AGENTS.md`; keep personal preferences there, outside the shared skill.

## Work from evidence

- Resolve a copied title with `find`; use an explicit path directly. Verify the title and version before relying on a fuzzy match. Register aliases or additional sources when useful.
- For an open-ended reading request, orient from the abstract and contribution, then follow the user's goal. For writing, reproduction, or critical appraisal, include relevant experiments and appendices.
- Explain important claims through the method's inputs, outputs, decisions, and evidence. Identify missing details and distinguish your interpretation from the source. Cite pages, sections, or figures for substantive claims.

Use when a user needs SCI/SCIE/ESCI/SSCI journal-submission help: evidence-backed candidate-journal discovery from a title, abstract, keywords, or manuscript text; public-metric and risk lookup for a known journal; or a pre-submission compliance check of a draft against a chosen journal's Author Guidelines and same-journal conventions. Also for Chinese requests such as 选刊、投稿期刊推荐、期刊查询、中科院分区、投稿前检查、期刊要求核对. This skill produces candidates, evidence, checks, and uncertainty; it does not judge research quality, predict acceptance, choose a uniquely best journal, draft prose, or simulate peer review.
