20 prompts

  1. 30 days of social posts

Read the product, changelog, docs and any blog posts in this repo. Write 30 days of posts for Twitter/X and LinkedIn: a mix of tips, behind-the-scenes, lessons, product updates, opinions and customer wins (no more than 1 in 5 should sell). Each post platform-native, with a hook in the first line. Save to content/social/30-days.csv with date, platform, post and an image idea.

  2. Build-in-public thread from git history

Read the git log of this repo for the last 30 days. Turn the real work into a build-in-public thread: what we shipped, what broke, what we learned, and what is next, with numbers where the code shows them. Write it as an X thread (8 to 12 posts) and a LinkedIn post. Save to content/social/build-in-public.md.

    Repo
  3. Changelog into launch posts

Go through the last 10 features or fixes we shipped (from the changelog or commits). For each, write a short post showing the before and after, why it matters to users, and a screenshot or GIF idea. Save to content/social/feature-posts.md.

    Repo
  4. LinkedIn carousel scripts

Write 5 LinkedIn carousels (8 to 10 slides each) that teach our audience something useful tied to our niche. For each slide give the headline (max 8 words) and supporting text (max 25 words). Then build them as HTML slides at 1080x1350 that I can screenshot or export to PDF. Save to content/social/carousels/.

    Repo
  5. Reply bank for common questions

Find the 30 most common questions and misconceptions about our niche on social media and forums. Write a short, helpful reply for each that adds real value and only mentions us when it is the honest answer. Save to content/social/replies.md so I can reply fast when these come up.

    Web
  6. Hot takes worth posting

Write 20 opinionated but defensible takes about our industry that our audience would argue with in a good way. For each, include the reasoning and a supporting example, so a post can stand up to pushback. Mark the 5 strongest. Save to content/social/takes.md.

    Web
  7. Turn one article into 15 posts

Take our best blog post or doc page in this repo and turn it into 15 social posts: key stats, quotes, a thread, a tip list, a myth vs fact, a question post, and a short video script. Each should stand alone without the article. Save to content/social/repurposed.md.

    Repo
  8. Find what is working in our niche

Find 30 high-performing posts from the last 60 days in our niche on X, LinkedIn and Reddit (high engagement relative to the account size). Break down why each worked: hook type, format, topic, length. Give me 10 post templates we can fill with our own content. Save to content/social/what-works.md.

    Web
  9. Founder story posts

Write 10 founder story posts about building this product: why it exists, the moment I knew it was needed, a hard decision, a failure, a customer moment, a lesson on pricing. Leave clear [placeholders] for personal details you cannot know, and keep each under 200 words. Save to content/social/founder-stories.md.

  10. Post scheduler script

Write a script that reads content/social/30-days.csv and schedules or posts each item through the official API of a platform we use (or Buffer/Typefully/Hypefury APIs if keys are present in env). Include a dry-run mode that prints what would post. Do not run it for real; show me the dry run output.

    Repo
  11. Image cards for posts

Build a small HTML template that renders quote cards, stat cards and tip cards in our brand colours at 1200x675 and 1080x1080. Generate cards for the 20 best posts in content/social/ by rendering them with a headless browser. Save PNGs to content/social/cards/.

    Repo Browser
  12. Weekly newsletter issue

Draft this week's newsletter issue: one main insight or story (400 words), 3 useful links in our niche from the last 7 days with a one-line take each, one product update, and one question for readers. Save to content/newsletter/[date].md.

    Web
  13. Reddit posts that add value

Write 5 Reddit posts for subreddits in our niche that would be welcome even with no product mention: a detailed guide, a lessons-learned post, a free resource, a data share, and a question. Check each subreddit's rules first and note them. Save to content/social/reddit.md.

    Web
  14. Meme and humour ideas

Write 20 meme or humour post ideas that people in our niche would relate to and share. Describe the format or image for each and the caption. Keep it kind and on-brand, no punching down. Save to content/social/memes.md.

  15. Customer win posts

Find every testimonial, review, case study or happy-user quote available in this repo or on our public pages. Turn the 10 best into social posts that tell a short story (problem, change, result) and draft a message asking each customer for permission to share. Save to content/social/wins.md.

    Web Repo
  16. Engagement plan for 10 accounts

Pick 10 accounts in our niche with an audience we want to reach. For each, read their last 20 posts and write 3 thoughtful comment drafts on posts likely to keep getting traffic, and one idea for a collaboration. Save to content/social/engage.md.

    Web
  17. Polls and questions

Write 15 poll and question posts that would get our audience talking and also teach us something useful for the product (pricing sensitivity, tools used, biggest pain). For each, note what decision the answers would inform. Save to content/social/polls.md.

  18. Thread on a deep technical topic

Find the most technically interesting part of this codebase. Write an X thread and a LinkedIn post explaining how we solved it, with a code snippet or diagram idea, in a way that a smart non-expert can follow. Save to content/social/tech-thread.md.

    Repo
  19. Bluesky, Threads and Mastodon versions

Take the posts in content/social/30-days.csv and adapt each for Bluesky, Threads and Mastodon: fit the length limits, swap platform-specific references, adjust hashtags (Mastodon uses them for discovery). Save as extra columns in the same CSV.

  20. Social profile audit

Look at our social profiles and bio links (from the site footer or my notes). Rewrite each bio to say what we do and for whom, suggest a pinned post, check links and handles are consistent, and list missing profiles worth claiming. Save to content/social/profiles.md.

How to run these while you sleep

  1. Open your project and start a fresh branch or git worktree, so the whole night is one diff you can review or delete.
  2. Add your product context above and keep overnight mode on. Claude will log its assumptions instead of waiting for answers.
  3. Paste one prompt into Claude Code, or save a few to a queue/ folder and loop over them headless.
  4. In the morning, read the files it wrote and the diff. Merge what is good and send what needs sending yourself.

Want it off your laptop? Claude Code on the web runs each session in a cloud sandbox, so you can start a few before bed and close the lid.

Queue a night of prompts

git switch -c overnight/$(date +%F)
mkdir -p logs
for f in queue/*.md; do
  claude -p "$(cat "$f")" \
    --permission-mode acceptEdits \
    --allowedTools "WebSearch" "WebFetch" "Bash(npm run *)" \
    > "logs/$(basename "$f" .md).log"
done

Only allow the tools a task needs. Browser prompts also need a browser MCP server such as Playwright; find one in the MCP directory.

More spare compute prompts

Link magnets20

Free tools, calculators, templates and data pages that rank for long-tail searches and earn links on their own. Run these overnight and wake up to shippable pages.

SEO & content20

Keyword research, content briefs, technical SEO audits and article drafts you can leave running overnight. Each prompt saves its output to a file so nothing gets lost.

Backlinks & PR20

Find link opportunities, draft pitches and build lists of podcasts, newsletters and journalists. These prompts do the slow research so you only do the sending.

Directories & launches15

Get listed everywhere your buyers look: startup directories, app stores, marketplaces, launch sites and review platforms. Claude prepares every listing so submitting takes minutes.

Finding customers20

Lead lists, buying signals and the places your next customers are already asking for help. Claude does the digging; you decide who to contact.

Outreach & sales15

Cold emails, follow-ups, sales pages and objection handling written from what your product actually does. Claude drafts; you review and send.

Video & visuals15

Demo videos, short-form scripts, animated explainers and screenshots generated with code. Use Remotion, Playwright and ffmpeg to render while you sleep.

Simulated user research20

Synthetic personas, simulated usability tests and interview prep built from your real product. Use them to find obvious problems before you spend time with real users, not instead of them.

Competitor research20

Teardowns, pricing tracking, feature matrices and screenshots of competitor user flows. Leave a browser running overnight and come back to a full picture of the market.

Landing pages & conversion20

Rewrite copy, audit the sign-up funnel, design A/B tests and build new landing pages. These prompts work directly in your codebase so the output is ready to review as a pull request.

Email & lifecycle15

Welcome sequences, onboarding emails, newsletters and re-engagement campaigns written from your actual product, plus the templates to send them.

Product & UX20

Polish passes, onboarding fixes, feature specs and prototypes. Good for overnight runs because each one ends in a branch or a document you can review over coffee.

Code quality20

Tests, refactors, type safety, dependency upgrades and dead code removal. The classic overnight job: long, careful, and easy to review in the morning as a pull request.

Security & performance20

Security reviews, secrets scans, load tests, bundle diets and backup checks. The work everyone puts off, done while your machine would otherwise sit idle.

Docs, support & ops20

Documentation, help centre articles, support macros, metrics, finance tidy-ups and the admin that piles up. Hand it to Claude when you have compute to spare.

Make Claude better at these jobs with skills, MCP servers and mods, or turn a prompt you run often into a skill with the skill generator.
