How Claude Code mods work
- A mod is a plugin with a JavaScript or TypeScript module that runs inside Claude Code (version 2.1.287 or later). It can draw panes beside the transcript, a band above the prompt, buttons and toasts, restyle the spinner and tool rows, and watch or rewrite tool calls and prompts.
- It installs like any plugin: add its marketplace with /plugin marketplace add owner/repo, then /plugin install name@marketplace.
- Check what a mod can reach before installing: it runs with your permissions. Reach goes from drawing only, to reading files, to writing files or running processes, to the network. Run claude plugin validate on a clone to list its hooks and calls without running it.
- Turn one off from the Installed tab in /plugin, or start Claude Code with --safe-mode to skip every customization for a session.

vigil
2revenantworks/claude-skills
Revenantworks dashboard mod for Claude Code 2.1.287+: which skills are enabled and how each fires (slash or automatic), failures, likely misroutes, tokens and cost by skill; the 5-hour, weekly, context and cache meters on the status line; health (mods loaded, hook drift, gatewarden's event counts); background tasks; optional research, GPU-lease, Godot and PR panels; and a suggestion queue that proposes, never builds. /rw-vigil opens it; Claude reads it only through vigil_read. Counts only, never text; counts stay in this session until /rw-vigil records on.
openrouter-balance
426hamzafer/claude-code-mods
Your OpenRouter credit above the prompt: the balance with a gauge, today's spend and where the money mostly went. /openrouter-balance shows the breakdown.
usagemeter
2Elesiann/usagemeter
A /usagemeter pane with cost, tokens and plan limits across Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Antigravity, read from local history and a CLIProxyAPI hub.
cache-caffeine
lperezmo/cache-caffeine
Keeps the prompt cache warm while you step away: a short poke before the cache expires, so the next turn reads the cache instead of writing it again. A row above the prompt turns it on and off and edits the message. Near the usage limit it books Claude a wake right after the reset.
usageline
2Sma1lboy/claude-mods
A status line under the prompt: context, cache hit rate, cache TTL countdown, today's spend for this project, and why a turn missed the cache. /usage prints the project ledger.
ccoverhead

ccOverhead: context, per-turn growth, quota, cache warmth, native cost and agent activity above the Claude Code prompt, with session and agent details.
