How Claude Code mods work
- A mod is a plugin with a JavaScript or TypeScript module that runs inside Claude Code (version 2.1.287 or later). It can draw panes beside the transcript, a band above the prompt, buttons and toasts, restyle the spinner and tool rows, and watch or rewrite tool calls and prompts.
- It installs like any plugin: add its marketplace with /plugin marketplace add owner/repo, then /plugin install name@marketplace.
- Check what a mod can reach before installing: it runs with your permissions. Reach goes from drawing only, to reading files, to writing files or running processes, to the network. Run claude plugin validate on a clone to list its hooks and calls without running it.
- Turn one off from the Installed tab in /plugin, or start Claude Code with --safe-mode to skip every customization for a session.

FAQ
What is graph-sync?
Keeps a code knowledge graph fresh: after code edits, runs an AST-only update command in the background when the turn ends (default: graphify update .). It is a mod for Claude Code, from mercynet/my-claude-mods on GitHub.
What can the graph-sync mod access?
Its widest reach is "writes or runs" (runs processes, reads files, reads mod state, persists state, draws). It sees every tool call. Like any mod, it runs with your permissions.
How do I install graph-sync?
Inside Claude Code (v2.1.287 or later), run /plugin marketplace add mercynet/my-claude-mods and then /plugin install graph-sync@local-mods.

forge
devohmycode/claude-mods
Make your own plugins and mods, and catch what a mod breaks without a word before a session loads it. /forge new writes a mod (or a classic plugin) in this repository's shape; /forge lint reads the source for the failures the loader refuses or that fail silently ($ bound to a name, a computed event or env name, two hooks with no matcher on one event, a plugin noun's verb hooked, a .catch that calls next twice, a $.config.set that reloads for nothing, a test plugin whose register delegates); /forge check adds tsc, claude plugin validate --strict with its inventory compared to what the source spells, and claude plugin test. Nothing runs unless the command is typed, and nothing reaches the model but the command's output.
horn
DJPalefaceSD/rostech-mods
One chord to send now: /horn sets Ctrl+X Ctrl+X to send a waiting message right away, like a tap on the horn, and the hint under the prompt says so.
copy-code
AH-Merii/claude-plugins
Frames each code block in Claude's replies in a box that names its language and has a copy button
reels
IanTerHaar/ith-mods
Instagram Reels open while Claude is working, and close when the turn ends or Claude is waiting on you
skill-diet
12VedantAndhale/claude-pro-kit
Lists skills you have not used lately in this project by name only, so their descriptions stop riding along on every request; the Skill tool and /name still load any of them. No model calls.
slash-command
carlvellotti/mods-starter
A /plain-recap command that summarizes the session so far in plain English for a non-engineer
