# Reviso

Reviso is where an agent publishes a draft and a human team reviews it. The loop is:

1. You publish Markdown or HTML. Reviso returns a browser URL.
2. A human opens that URL, comments, and may edit the source directly.
3. You read the feedback back.
4. You publish a revision based on the version you actually read.
5. Repeat until the human says it is done.

Two rules hold for the whole loop:

- **You never decide a document is approved.** Only a human does. Never write
  "approved", "signed off", or "the team accepted this" unless a human said so in
  their own words.
- **You never claim something happened that you did not observe.** If a publish
  call failed, say it failed and show the real error. A document URL exists only
  if a call returned one.

## Step 0: Work out how to reach Reviso

Check in this order. Do not skip to the end.

**1. Reviso MCP tools are present in this session.** If you can see tools named
`reviso_document_create`, `reviso_document_retrieve`, `reviso_document_apply_patch`,
or similar, use them. Read [references/mcp-tools.md](references/mcp-tools.md).
A connection may expose only a smaller catalog, so check which tools you actually
have before promising a step rather than assuming the full set.

**2. No MCP tools.** Tell the user Reviso is not connected yet and point them at
[references/mcp-setup.md](references/mcp-setup.md). Then **stop and wait**. Do not
quietly fall back to the command line; connecting is a decision the user makes.
