How Claude Code mods work
- A mod is a plugin with a JavaScript or TypeScript module that runs inside Claude Code (version 2.1.287 or later). It can draw panes beside the transcript, a band above the prompt, buttons and toasts, restyle the spinner and tool rows, and watch or rewrite tool calls and prompts.
- It installs like any plugin: add its marketplace with /plugin marketplace add owner/repo, then /plugin install name@marketplace.
- Check what a mod can reach before installing: it runs with your permissions. Reach goes from drawing only, to reading files, to writing files or running processes, to the network. Run claude plugin validate on a clone to list its hooks and calls without running it.
- Turn one off from the Installed tab in /plugin, or start Claude Code with --safe-mode to skip every customization for a session.

unpaged
unpaged/plugins
Renders Claude Code plans as whiteboards on Unpaged. /unpaged:visual-plan turns the plan in your conversation into a canvas of phases, tasks, and dependencies and listens to its @agent comments (delivered automatically by a listener inside Claude Code, with a line above the prompt showing what you listen to; a background Monitor on older builds), and inside Claude Code it also listens to every canvas the session creates or changes through Unpaged, a plan or not, where your permission rules let it create listener keys (otherwise the agent offers to listen); approving the plan stamps the canvas EXECUTING. While the plan is implemented the session keeps a Decision log on the canvas; /unpaged:as-built then compiles the as-built record — what shipped vs the plan, every decision and its why, the data flow, a reviewer's guide — as a frozen canvas nested under the plan. Every plan is filed in the Visual plans folder of your Unpaged library.
turn-tides
pengkangzhen/turn-tides
