How Claude Code mods work
- A mod is a plugin with a JavaScript or TypeScript module that runs inside Claude Code (version 2.1.287 or later). It can draw panes beside the transcript, a band above the prompt, buttons and toasts, restyle the spinner and tool rows, and watch or rewrite tool calls and prompts.
- It installs like any plugin: add its marketplace with /plugin marketplace add owner/repo, then /plugin install name@marketplace.
- Check what a mod can reach before installing: it runs with your permissions. Reach goes from drawing only, to reading files, to writing files or running processes, to the network. Run claude plugin validate on a clone to list its hooks and calls without running it.
- Turn one off from the Installed tab in /plugin, or start Claude Code with --safe-mode to skip every customization for a session.

Adds /env-check: variable names in .env.example against .env at the git repo root, listing missing and extra names. Reads names only, never a value. Read-only. Copies the result to your clipboard.
night-shift
2mako-code/gobworks
Works your backlog while you are away: when idle, one worker at a time implements the next .claude/backlog.md task in its own git worktree under a strict tool policy and budget; in the morning you review, adopt or discard each branch.
mini-offload
3yash-gadodia/claude-mods
Routes heavy Bash commands (test suites, builds, Docker) to a second machine over ssh, with the PATH export and working directory already right, and the commit synced first.
guard-rules
2iuliandita/mods
Blocks AI attribution in commits and PRs, direct commits to protected branches, commits under the wrong git identity, and mutating kubectl, helm and terraform calls on protected or unclassified environments.
gh-account
12VedantAndhale/claude-pro-kit
Runs each git push, pull, fetch, clone and gh command as the logged-in GitHub account that owns or belongs to the repository's owner, so Claude stops switching gh accounts and retrying failed pushes.
