Claude Code mod

session-status

One row of status dots above the prompt, in Catppuccin (Latte on light, Macchiato on dark): on desktop the row is one SVG with a rounded capsule, a colored dot per segment and small progress bars; on the terminal, text dots and text bars. Work item (its Azure DevOps title on hover), a red lock while a Predecessor work item is not done yet (read-only), git branch, branch sync (ahead/behind its upstream, from local refs, no fetch), the branch's Azure DevOps pull request state (read-only, Azure DevOps repos only), each with a plain-language hover, the work item's step from the running prosuite command (refine, código, review, prueba), active-time timer and subagent counts, then context (token count on hover) and CPU/RAM/temperature (Windows only); plus a session title with the work item title (needs the Azure CLI, read-only)

How Claude Code mods work

  • A mod is a plugin with a JavaScript or TypeScript module that runs inside Claude Code (version 2.1.287 or later). It can draw panes beside the transcript, a band above the prompt, buttons and toasts, restyle the spinner and tool rows, and watch or rewrite tool calls and prompts.
  • It installs like any plugin: add its marketplace with /plugin marketplace add owner/repo, then /plugin install name@marketplace.
  • Check what a mod can reach before installing: it runs with your permissions. Reach goes from drawing only, to reading files, to writing files or running processes, to the network. Run claude plugin validate on a clone to list its hooks and calls without running it.
  • Turn one off from the Installed tab in /plugin, or start Claude Code with --safe-mode to skip every customization for a session.
