How Claude Code mods work
- A mod is a plugin with a JavaScript or TypeScript module that runs inside Claude Code (version 2.1.287 or later). It can draw panes beside the transcript, a band above the prompt, buttons and toasts, restyle the spinner and tool rows, and watch or rewrite tool calls and prompts.
- It installs like any plugin: add its marketplace with /plugin marketplace add owner/repo, then /plugin install name@marketplace.
- Check what a mod can reach before installing: it runs with your permissions. Reach goes from drawing only, to reading files, to writing files or running processes, to the network. Run claude plugin validate on a clone to list its hooks and calls without running it.
- Turn one off from the Installed tab in /plugin, or start Claude Code with --safe-mode to skip every customization for a session.

More context & usage mods
quackpit
imsungbin/quackpit-mod
A cockpit above your Claude Code prompt. The duck reads the gauges: task progress and how long the work will take, pace, context, plan limits, checks and cost in one instrument panel, with a rubber duck as Master Caution. Zero model tokens by default, no network, no processes, nothing added to context.
quiet-token-bar
arthurglaizal/quiet-token-bar
Your context window as one quiet line above the prompt: a patterned bar, the fill against the compaction point, a compact button and your session and weekly limits, grey until something gets warm. /quiet-token-bar shows or hides it.
push-ups
Risdon8/push-ups
Predicts how long Claude's turn will take and gives you push-ups to do while you wait, in a bar above the prompt. Local only: no model calls, no tokens.
quota-band
andras-gyarmati/claude-quota-band
Your Claude plan's 5h and weekly usage, the context window and the prompt cache's time left, as one line of bars above the prompt
purgar
jpoucabanillas-lang/claude-mods
/purgar: quita del contexto las salidas viejas de herramientas, sin resumen y sin gastar modelo; /purgar N deja solo los últimos N intercambios
quota-guard
catsmonster/claude-quota-guard
Compacts before the 5-hour/weekly usage limit is hit, pauses until it resets, then resumes the task automatically.
