How Claude Code mods work
- A mod is a plugin with a JavaScript or TypeScript module that runs inside Claude Code (version 2.1.287 or later). It can draw panes beside the transcript, a band above the prompt, buttons and toasts, restyle the spinner and tool rows, and watch or rewrite tool calls and prompts.
- It installs like any plugin: add its marketplace with /plugin marketplace add owner/repo, then /plugin install name@marketplace.
- Check what a mod can reach before installing: it runs with your permissions. Reach goes from drawing only, to reading files, to writing files or running processes, to the network. Run claude plugin validate on a clone to list its hooks and calls without running it.
- Turn one off from the Installed tab in /plugin, or start Claude Code with --safe-mode to skip every customization for a session.

More pane & dashboard mods
prayer-times
mkbuilds4/mods
The next Muslim prayer time under Claude Code's prompt, a gentle reminder at adhan, and a pane with today's sky, the timetable, a weekly prayer tracker and the Qibla. Calculated on your machine; no network.
process-concierge
ccdwyer/process-concierge
Gives every dev server, watcher and background process the agent starts an owner, a port and a stop button, and catches duplicate starts
pr-monitor
CodyEngel/claude-mods
Pane that monitors a repository's open pull requests, merges the ones you mark when they're green, and asks Claude to resolve conflicts in an order that avoids new ones
progress
Certicore/ClaudeMOD
An animated progress band above the prompt: one row per plan with its name, an LED-matrix bar whose pixels twinkle and brighten toward the head over a feathered glow, a lit chip riding the head that names the stage and the step under way ("Tests 3/5"), the percentage and a that dissolves the row. Claude reports its own progress through the report_progress tool it registers; a chime plays when a step completes and an arpeggio when a plan finishes. Below the plans, what is left of the 5-hour and 7-day plan windows, with a limit you drag into place that pauses the work when it is reached. Each project folder keeps its own band.
pomodoro
barisdemirhan/claude-pomodoro
A pomodoro timer on the prompt's hint line whose break lands while Claude works, with buttons beside it, a history and a report: /pomodoro start
progress-bar
MohammadMD1383/claude-plugins
A progress bar above the prompt for long work: Claude fills one in through a tool, and any shell script or command reports its own through a unix socket (pbar), with a warning when a job stalls or dies. See how far along things are without asking.
