How Claude Code mods work

  • A mod is a plugin with a JavaScript or TypeScript module that runs inside Claude Code (version 2.1.287 or later). It can draw panes beside the transcript, a band above the prompt, buttons and toasts, restyle the spinner and tool rows, and watch or rewrite tool calls and prompts.
  • It installs like any plugin: add its marketplace with /plugin marketplace add owner/repo, then /plugin install name@marketplace.
  • Check what a mod can reach before installing: it runs with your permissions. Reach goes from drawing only, to reading files, to writing files or running processes, to the network. Run claude plugin validate on a clone to list its hooks and calls without running it.
  • Turn one off from the Installed tab in /plugin, or start Claude Code with --safe-mode to skip every customization for a session.

opum-lore

opum-ai/lore-cli

Drive the lore CLI: author, retrieve, and maintain OKF documentation bundles, including explicit multi-repository workspaces. Cut from the same lore-cli repository and tag as the CLI itself, so this skill can never describe a version you don't have. Also ships the Lore pane: a pane that browses, reads (rendered and raw), searches, creates and edits the repository's documentation bundle through the lore CLI, editable in the session's own repository.

Pane & dashboard mods

open-tray

jakerains/claudemods

POWERTRAY: a pane of things to look at or listen to (what Claude made this session, things related to what you are on, local servers), a player for a film's sound, plain-words recaps of the work (quick or detailed on request, quick ones on their own if you turn them on; flagged stale when they no longer hold), checklists Claude and you tick together (or one written from the conversation on request), and a stash of files to come back to or review (play, preview, tick, note), kept per project, with a shared shelf every project shows. Project rules in .claude/tray.json or ~/.claude/open-tray/rules/.

opum-quest

opum-ai/quest-cli

Drive the quest CLI: create, list, view, edit, complete, and archive tasks, drafts, milestones, and decisions in a Quest-initialized workspace instead of editing tracker state directly. Cut from the same quest-cli repository and tag as the CLI itself, so this skill can never describe a version you don't have. Also ships the Quest board: a pane listing the tasks being worked on in the session's own repository, editable there.

Pane & dashboard mods

open-points

rightlabs/claude-open-points

A live view of your project's open points or TODO markdown file: a side pane grouped by status and a one-line count above the prompt.

opus-conductor

okashiina/illa-mods

Opus 5.5 conducts a mission: plans sized tasks, delegates hard labor to Sonnet 5.5 workers and narrow jobs to Haiku 5.5 scouts at the reasoning effort each task needs, shows every agent and the mission's % in a live pane, shows "cooking" with live-moving bars while agents work, and holds its autopilot while Opus waits on the outside world instead of nudging it
