How Claude Code mods work
- A mod is a plugin with a JavaScript or TypeScript module that runs inside Claude Code (version 2.1.287 or later). It can draw panes beside the transcript, a band above the prompt, buttons and toasts, restyle the spinner and tool rows, and watch or rewrite tool calls and prompts.
- It installs like any plugin: add its marketplace with /plugin marketplace add owner/repo, then /plugin install name@marketplace.
- Check what a mod can reach before installing: it runs with your permissions. Reach goes from drawing only, to reading files, to writing files or running processes, to the network. Run claude plugin validate on a clone to list its hooks and calls without running it.
- Turn one off from the Installed tab in /plugin, or start Claude Code with --safe-mode to skip every customization for a session.

task-splitter
2mako-code/gobworks

agent-pulse
afterever/claude-mods
A box above the prompt that always says what the agent is doing right now, alive with color and motion: an animated status glyph, a glowing jellyfish on the desktop, a timeline of the turn, and a history behind its triangle. Fork of Tzafrir Rehan's whats-agent-doing 0.4.3.
delegation-board
2iuliandita/mods
A live pane of the session's subagents and teammates: type, model, effort, state, elapsed time, tokens, an optional cost estimate and the task description. It only observes; nothing leaves the machine.
ask
hyperbola-bear/claude-mods
A side chat in a pane that reads the main chat, scrolls and draws: /ask a question, /draw a diagram. Nothing goes back to the main chat unless you send it. Answers are Mermaid drawn as box art in the terminal and as SVG in the desktop app.
ballot
2HT0710/claudzilla
After a reply with a Decision, a card above the prompt: numbered options, or go ahead, except…
