How Claude Code mods work
- A mod is a plugin with a JavaScript or TypeScript module that runs inside Claude Code (version 2.1.287 or later). It can draw panes beside the transcript, a band above the prompt, buttons and toasts, restyle the spinner and tool rows, and watch or rewrite tool calls and prompts.
- It installs like any plugin: add its marketplace with /plugin marketplace add owner/repo, then /plugin install name@marketplace.
- Check what a mod can reach before installing: it runs with your permissions. Reach goes from drawing only, to reading files, to writing files or running processes, to the network. Run claude plugin validate on a clone to list its hooks and calls without running it.
- Turn one off from the Installed tab in /plugin, or start Claude Code with --safe-mode to skip every customization for a session.

house-rules
davidcoulson/crab-workshop
Your homelab conventions as rules on Claude's tool calls: a note, an ask or a refusal when a call breaks one (Unraid appdata paths, CLAUDE.local.md staged, force-push to upstream, HA restarts). /rules lists them with hit counts; /rules add makes your own.

/find-sess <what you remember>: find a past session in this repo with a Haiku call, then resume it
reflect
Isaacg1000/isaac-mods
Spots corrections in your prompts and offers to save them as permanent rules in CLAUDE.md.
lk-handoff-guard
1connectwithub/loopkeeper
Never lose a session to the context limit: it watches context fill, writes a handoff into .claude/brain/ in time, then clears and resumes from it.
downloads-drop
2joeldg/claude-mods
Notices files that land in Downloads while you work (PDFs, 3MF models, images, notes) and offers them in a band above the prompt: Attach puts @"path" mentions in the prompt box, Dismiss clears them. /downloads lists the newest files and attaches any by number. No model calls.
