Run multiple Claude Desktop accounts side by side, each with its own login,
shortcut and optional shared Claude Code history — including pins and sidebar
order. More on the site.

Install

Requires macOS 13+ and Claude Desktop in /Applications or ~/Applications.
Works on Apple Silicon and Intel, in English and Russian. Sidebar sharing was
tested with Claude Desktop 2.110.1 on macOS 27.

Homebrew may ask you to trust this third-party cask. Graft is ad-hoc signed,
not notarised; the cask clears its quarantine flag. For a manual install, get
the .dmg from Releases
and allow it in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Making a Claude

Choose a name, icon and where its chats come from, then press Create Shortcut.
Open it from Spotlight or the Dock and sign into the other account.

Each shortcut works without Graft running and can adopt an existing profile
folder. Its custom name and icon appear in Finder and on the pinned shortcut;
the running app keeps Claude's name and icon. Graft leaves Claude's app untouched.

Bringing over chats from a previous login

An empty sidebar after signing into a new shortcut can mean your chats are
still in the profile you previously used. Graft finds them and offers
Copy Them Here. Quit every Claude instance before copying.

This copies missing chats once, keeping the originals and anything already in
the destination. For ongoing sync, choose chat sharing instead.

Usage in the menu bar

See live usage and reset times for your accounts, even when they aren't running.
