Claude Code mod
cache-magic
Keeps a handoff while a large session's prompt cache is still warm. On a five-minute cache, a late prompt can go out after the handoff instead of the full context. On a one-hour cache the session stays, and compaction is pointed at the handoff.

How Claude Code mods work
- A mod is a plugin with a JavaScript or TypeScript module that runs inside Claude Code (version 2.1.287 or later). It can draw panes beside the transcript, a band above the prompt, buttons and toasts, restyle the spinner and tool rows, and watch or rewrite tool calls and prompts.
- It installs like any plugin: add its marketplace with /plugin marketplace add owner/repo, then /plugin install name@marketplace.
- Check what a mod can reach before installing: it runs with your permissions. Reach goes from drawing only, to reading files, to writing files or running processes, to the network. Run claude plugin validate on a clone to list its hooks and calls without running it.
- Turn one off from the Installed tab in /plugin, or start Claude Code with --safe-mode to skip every customization for a session.

FAQ
What is cache-magic?

What can the cache-magic mod access?

More context & usage mods
cache-keepwarm
mupamuc/cache-keepwarm
Keeps the prompt cache of an idle Claude Code session warm: just before the cache lapses it submits a short service prompt, so your next message reads the context from the cache instead of writing it again. Off by default; /keepwarm on|off|status. Needs function hooks (early access).
cache-meter
hal-9/claude-mods
Band above the prompt: prompt-cache countdown, cache hit rate, context fill and a Compact button, plus a keepwarm row from cache-tax that pings the cache through breaks and stops a cold send once with its rewrite cost.
cache-keeper
sorajate/claude-cache-keeper
Shows when the prompt cache lapses, keeps it warm with a few pings while idle, then compacts once and waits
cache-meter
JonseyFTW/claude-mods
Band above the prompt showing whether the prompt cache is warm, time left, and last turn's hit rate
cache-keeper
razzamatazm/cache-keeper
Keeps an idle session's prompt cache warm once at 50 minutes, then writes a handoff doc at 100 and pins it above the prompt.
cache-meter
oscarcosmedev/claude-mods
Indicador de caché de prompts sobre el prompt: cuenta regresiva hasta que caduca, uso por solicitud y turno, y panel /cache.
