How Claude Code mods work
- A mod is a plugin with a JavaScript or TypeScript module that runs inside Claude Code (version 2.1.287 or later). It can draw panes beside the transcript, a band above the prompt, buttons and toasts, restyle the spinner and tool rows, and watch or rewrite tool calls and prompts.
- It installs like any plugin: add its marketplace with /plugin marketplace add owner/repo, then /plugin install name@marketplace.
- Check what a mod can reach before installing: it runs with your permissions. Reach goes from drawing only, to reading files, to writing files or running processes, to the network. Run claude plugin validate on a clone to list its hooks and calls without running it.
- Turn one off from the Installed tab in /plugin, or start Claude Code with --safe-mode to skip every customization for a session.

rate-limit-guard
28melodic-software/claude-code-plugins
Shared rate-limit guard for loop lanes and Claude: a hooks module writes the subscription rate-limit windows to a fixed machine-scope file and toasts window changes (telling Claude too only with model_notices on, off by default), a StopFailure hook records rate-limit stops reactively, and a reader contract fixes how consuming sessions pause and resume.
costclaw-live
24ucsandman/Agnostic-AI
COSTCLAW LIVE: per-request cost, cache decay and repeated-read detection while the session runs, and it serves the Nth identical Read of an unchanged file from its own cache instead of paying for it

token-ledger
11Arunjay4213/claude-mods

zsemle
Parais4/parais-mods
Zsemle, a pixel-art companion above the prompt (golden retriever, cat, slime, paperclip): watches every usage limit (50/75/90% warnings, pace forecast, resets, API errors, automatic model switch and compaction, cost), stops work at 95%, guards file writes and cheers long turns. English and Hungarian, terminal and desktop.
spend-ledger
97escapeboy/claude-code-kit
Per-project token and cost ledger per machine; /spend; monthly note in Svod, with other machines pulled over ssh.
